Novel Silicon Carbide (SiC) Simulation Reduces Development Time

onsemi’s new Elite Power Simulator enables power electronic engineers to accelerate time to market. The tool provides an accurate representation of how their circuit will work using our EliteSiC family of products including manufacturing corner cases of the EliteSiC technology.

Typical industry system-level simulators that employ PLECS models are valid only for hard-switching, rendering simulation results for soft switching applications highly inaccurate. onsemi has advanced the state-of-the-art through industry-first PLECS models that are valid for both hard and soft switching applications such as DC-DC LLC and CLLC Resonant, Dual Active Bridge, and Phase Shifted Full Bridge.

Advanced Features

Fast Simulation Results

Users can easily explore figures of merits and their tradeoffs per device, circuit topology, control strategy variations, and load profiling.

High-Density & Broad-Loss Tables

Dense tables ensure accurate interpolation instead of inaccurate extrapolation in the system simulations, making them valid for both hard and soft switching.

Flexible Use

The simulator is flexible to accommodate adjustments to various attributes such as system specifications, gate drive impedance, cooling designs, and product corner case performance.
